Water poured from a ladle onto the stones of a warm Navia Bathhouse sauna
About Navia

We went toScandinavia.

We didn't want to leave the sauna. It wasn't a wellness trend. It was simply a way of life. We brought that feeling home.

How it started

The sauna wasn't the destination. The connection was.

In Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, sauna felt like something entirely different. It isn't treated as a wellness trend. It's just part of life.

It's where people go after work.

It's where friends catch up.

It's where families spend time together.

It's where communities gather.

“Sauna isn't a place for chatting about the weather. It's a place to come together.”
— Matti, a Finn we met in the sauna

We came home and built that.

Community

Built by the people who come back.

Everything we saw in the Nordics pointed the same way: sauna is where community happens. That's the part we were determined to bring home.

So we built Navia around it. The ritual slows you down. The space gives you somewhere to land. The hours leave room to linger. None of that is accidental.

Now the same people arrive on the same mornings, stay a little longer, and know each other's names. Exactly as hoped.

Milestones

The story so far.

2023

The trip that started it

A few weeks in Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland: bathhouses, community saunas, cold plunges & ice swimming. The idea forms.

2025

Byron Bay opens

Sauna, steam, a magnesium pool, two cold plunges, massage. Intimate and unhurried. Community memberships launch, and the regulars find their rhythm.

2026

Prahran opens

The full expression of the ritual: five heats, three plunges, cafe, red-light therapy.

Beyond

Flemington, Hampton, and further

More Melbourne locations are planned. The ritual, in more places.

What we believe

Three things we won't trade.

01

The ritual is a rhythm

Sweat, soak, savour. Once is a reset, weekly is a practice. Everything here is built for the return visit: the same morning, the same order, the same exhale. The benefit compounds.

02

Come for the heat, stay for the people

Community isn't a program or a perk. It's what a good space does when the same people keep choosing it. We protect that: shared spaces at the centre, and nobody hurried out the door.

03

Come as you are

No experience needed, no etiquette test, no body standard. First-timers get shown the ropes; regulars get left alone. The door is open to everyone, always.

As seen in
Stay close

Stay in the loop.

Rituals, updates, Prahran news, and early access. No clutter; monthly at most.

Ready when you are.

The sauna will be warm. The cold pool will be cold. You'll leave feeling like you've put a few hours of distance between yourself and everything else. That's it.
